This general TAFE NSW assessment information may di er from the assessment information in each of your OTEN unit's Assessment Guides. OTEN Assessment Guides are specific to each unit and studying by distance with OTEN, which is not the same as study in a face- to-face college. For example OTEN assessments generally do not have set completion dates. Every Student's Guide to Assessment in TAFE NSW is available on the OLS. You will receive a Student Assessment Guide for your course. OTEN Assessment Guides On the OLS under each unit you are studying, or in your printed learning materials, there is an Assessment Guide which includes: • information on how the unit will be assessed • details on any practical sessions or workshops you must attend • a list of any textbooks required and where these textbooks may be purchased • reading lists • assessments • an Introduction to Your Teacher form • for print materials – results slips to use if you post your assessments to us. Attach the unique result slip to each assessment before sending it to OTEN • barcode labels to stick on each result slip, or exam or test application. Barcodes streamline the processing of your work. If you run out of barcode labels, contact your teaching section. In the meantime, if you don't want to hold up submitting your work, write your details in the space provided
